Overview

Cusco, once the capital of the Inca Empire is surrounded by mountains more than 6,000 meters high. It is located in the western part of the river Watanay Valley and is 3300 mt/ 10,800ft. high. This quaint city of Cusco is renowned all over for its combination of Inca and Spanish Colonial architecture and its mysterious past. It is also the gateway to Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley. Feel the energy of this old mysterious city where the Incas once ruled.

Itinerary

We will pick you up from your hotel at 1:30 Our tour begins with the visit of the Koricancha Sun Temple, a wonderful Ceremonial construction built during the Incas heyday. Afterwards, we will visit the main square and see the Cathedral from the outside which was built on top of Inca ruins. Later on, we will drive you to the northern outskirts of Cusco, towards the Complex Inca Temples of Sacsayhuaman. Here, we will walk through huge Inca walls, built with massive rocks weighing up to 180 tons, well-fitted with absolute perfection. Then, continue onto another important Inca site known as Qenqo, a strange place with subterranean passages, hiding in its interior perfect carved stones where the Incas probably mummified their dead. Afterwards, we will visit the Inca Baths of Tambomachay and the military lookout point of Pucapucara before returning to Cusco.

To reserve your spot on the trail with travel one expeditions, each person must pay a deposit of $200.00 and then pay the rest at our office in Cusco two days before your trek beings. To get the student discount, please send us a scan of both sides of your student card through email at the time you wish to reserve your spot. The only one Accepted by Peruvian Government is the International ISIC card.

Huaynapicchu Climbing. – You need to book in advance too as the Inca trail because it has a limit capacity of 400 people per day which is divided in to 2 shifts. The first shift is at 7 am, and the second one at 10 am, each shift allows 200 people.
The climb is 50 minutes to an hour, it is a bit narrow but safe, the view of Machu picchu is breathtaking,The sun gate, Urubamaba valley and river.The Price is $70 us dollars.
